This program will help company officers develop and hone a methodical process for making the right critical decisions during the “first SCBA cylinder” worth of firefighting in single-family, multi-family/apartment, commercial, and mid/high rise structures.
Looking at our most common fire scenarios, we’ll practice which engine/truck company tactics are most effective and applicable to each scenario and why.

Strategy & Tactics that are critical to Success
Over 1-2 days of training, we cover the key mindsets, actions and tactics to guide our initial actions at any structure fire. We will go over the common fire scenarios in single-family, multi-family/apartment, commercial, and mid/high rise structures along with which engine/truck company tactics are most effective and applicable to each scenario. The objective is to enhance the ability of company and chief officers to select the proper “tools from the toolbox” given the fire scenario that they face.
While this program is intended for chief officers and company officers (and those who act in that role) it is extremely beneficial for all ranks who take this course as it provides a top-down understanding of the system and each other’s jobs.
This class is available as a 4-hour online course, 1-2 days of hands-on training, or a hybrid combination of both. See below for details.
