The actions of first arriving companies set the stage for the outcome of the fire. Especially when dealing with lower staffing levels, we must make the right decisions with the correct information - early in the incident.

This 2-hour program will discuss the critical components of an effective size up. Considering residential, multi-family, and commercial structures - we will discuss the initial size-up observations and radio reports that the first-in company or chief officers should make. This program will include the review of actual fireground footage and audio.

First In

In-Person Seminars

The First-in Size-ups and Radio Reports program builds upon the core concepts in our First Alarm Strategy and Tactics program and will cover the critical components of an effective size that the first-in company or chief officers should make given the scenario they face.

When delivered in-person, the First-in Size-ups program is recommended in one of two ways:

As a stand-alone 2-hour seminar
Combined with any of our other classes for a custom 1-2 day in-person training program
Or, as an online add-on to the First Alarm Strategy and Tactics training
